James Brown

James Brown was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, musician, record producer, and bandleader. A central figure of 20th-century music, he is often referred to as the 'Godfather of Soul'. Brown was a seminal force in the music industry, having been a major influence on the development of gospel, rhythm and blues, jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop. His career spanned six decades, during which he influenced the development of several music genres. Beyond his musical legacy, James Brown made several notable appearances in film and television, often playing himself or characters that reflected his larger-than-life persona.
