2 Broke Girls

Set in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, the series follows the lives of two young women from vastly different backgrounds who become unlikely roommates and coworkers at a local diner. Max Black, a cynical, street-smart waitress who has grown up in poverty, and Caroline Channing, a former socialite whose father was arrested for a Ponzi scheme, leaving her penniless, must navigate the challenges of adulthood while working for minimum wage. Despite their contrasting personalities, the two bond over their shared financial struggles and a mutual dream of opening a cupcake business. Throughout the series, they face various comedic obstacles, eccentric coworkers, and romantic entanglements, all while trying to save enough money to turn their entrepreneurial vision into a reality. The show explores themes of friendship, class disparity, and the resilience required to survive in the big city.
