Adapted from Stephen Chow's iconic film classic, 'A Chinese Odyssey: Love You a Million Years' follows the epic and tragic romantic entanglements of the Monkey King, who is reincarnated as the mortal highwayman Joker. Stripped of his powers and memories, Joker must navigate a treacherous world of demons, deities, and deeply conflicted loyalties. Alongside his journey, he encounters the goddess Zixia, setting off a poignant cycle of love and sacrifice that spans across five hundred years. The series expands deeply upon the original cinematic universe, blending high-stakes fantasy action with profound comedic and emotional elements. Joker grapples with his true identity as Sun Wukong while struggling to protect those he loves from ancient celestial forces and karmic retribution. As past lives collide with present choices, the narrative explores whether true love can genuinely conquer both time and divine destiny.
