Ten years ago, during a devastating earthquake, firefighter Jin Shichuan saved a young girl named Xu Lai. To comfort her, he made a promise that would change the trajectory of her life. A decade later, Xu Lai has returned as a skilled journalist and a professional dog trainer, determined to find the man who saved her. When their paths cross again, Jin Shichuan—now a captain of the fire rescue team—does not initially recognize her, as he is strictly focused on his duty and the safety of his team. As they work together on various rescue missions, Xu Lai uses her expertise as a dog handler to assist Jin Shichuan's team, gradually breaking down his stoic exterior. The series explores the challenges of their high-stakes professions, the trauma of their past, and the blossoming romance that develops as they face life-and-death situations together. Their journey is one of mutual growth, healing, and the realization that their connection is far deeper than a simple debt of gratitude.
