A Serra

Set against the breathtaking and rugged landscape of the Serra da Estrela in Portugal, 'A Serra' follows the story of Fátima, a young woman who returns to her mountain village after years away. Her homecoming is fueled by a desire to uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of her mother, a case that has haunted the local community for years. As she digs deeper, she finds herself entangled in a web of secrets, power struggles, and long-buried family rivalries that threaten to destroy the fragile peace of the region. At the heart of the conflict is the powerful Folgado family, who exert control over the local economy and social life. Fátima's investigation brings her into direct contact with Tomás, a man caught between his loyalty to his family and his growing feelings for Fátima. As the past collides with the present, the series explores themes of justice, forbidden love, and the resilience of those living in the shadow of the mountains, where every secret eventually comes to light.
