Acapulco

Acapulco tells the story of twenty-something Máximo Gallardo, whose dream comes true when he gets the job of a lifetime as a pool boy at the hottest resort in Acapulco, Las Colinas. He soon realizes the job is far more complicated than he ever imagined and that in order to succeed, he must learn to navigate a demanding clientele, a mercurial mentor, and a complicated home life, without losing his way to shortcuts or temptation. The series is told through a dual-timeline narrative, with the present-day older Máximo recounting his formative years to his nephew in the United States. This framing device provides a nostalgic and often humorous look at the cultural clashes and personal growth that defined his rise from humble beginnings to becoming a successful businessman, highlighting the importance of family, loyalty, and integrity.
