According to Jim

According to Jim is a long-running American sitcom that centers on Jim Orenthal, a suburban father living in the Chicago area with his wife, Cheryl, and their children. Jim is a stubborn, opinionated, and often immature man who frequently finds himself in hot water due to his 'manly' antics, schemes, and refusal to admit when he is wrong. The show explores the comedic dynamics of his marriage and his attempts to navigate the complexities of family life while maintaining his own sense of identity. Supporting the central couple are Cheryl's siblings, Dana and Andy, who are often caught in the crossfire of Jim's schemes. Dana is the high-strung, critical sister who constantly clashes with Jim, while Andy is Jim's loyal, albeit easily manipulated, brother-in-law and business partner. The series relies on classic sitcom tropes, focusing on the humorous misunderstandings and domestic squabbles that arise as Jim tries to balance his love for blues music, sports, and his family, usually learning a lesson by the end of each episode.
