Afterlife

Set in the fictional town of Tambury, the series follows Tony Johnson, a writer for a local newspaper whose life is turned upside down after his beloved wife, Lisa, dies from cancer. Struggling with immense grief, Tony contemplates suicide before deciding instead to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes, without any regard for consequences. While Tony views his new unfiltered persona as a 'superpower,' his well-meaning friends and family continuously try to steer him back toward kindness and humanity. As the seasons progress, Tony navigates the messy realities of loss, depression, and friendship, gradually realizing that while life has no inherent meaning, human connection and caring for others might be the only things that make it worth living.
