Ajin: Demi-Human

Set in a world where mysterious, immortal human beings known as 'Ajin' are discovered, the story follows Kei Nagai, an ordinary high school student who discovers he is one of these beings after surviving a fatal traffic accident. Suddenly hunted by both the government, who wants to use them for cruel experimentation, and radical Ajin terrorists seeking to start a war against humanity, Kei must navigate a dangerous world of betrayal and survival. As Kei is thrust into the conflict, he meets other Ajin with vastly different philosophies, including the psychopathic terrorist Sato, who aims to conquer Japan. Unlike Sato, Kei just wants to live a quiet life, but his pragmatic nature and moral dilemmas force him to choose a side. The series explores dark themes of mortality, human cruelty, and the psychological breaking points of individuals gifted with eternal life.
