All Creatures Great and Small Season 2

Set in the late 1930s, the second season of this heartwarming drama continues to follow the professional and personal life of James Herriot, a young veterinarian who has settled into his role at Skeldale House in the Yorkshire Dales. As James navigates the complexities of animal care and the eccentricities of his mentor, Siegfried Farnon, he finds himself increasingly torn between his growing affection for Helen Alderson and his desire to return home to Glasgow to support his parents. Beyond the romantic tension, the season explores the shifting social landscape of the Dales as the shadow of World War II begins to loom over the community. The household at Skeldale faces new challenges, including the arrival of Siegfried’s younger brother, Tristan, who struggles to prove his worth as a qualified vet, and the ever-present task of earning the trust of the local farmers who are often skeptical of outsiders.
