Cinema & TelevisionBallers is a dramedy series that explores the glamorous and often cutthroat world of professional football through the eyes of Spencer Strasmore, a retired NFL superstar turned financial manager. Based in Miami, the show follows Spencer as he attempts to navigate the complex lives of current and former players, helping them manage their wealth, reputations, and personal crises while struggling to find his own footing in a post-athletic career. As the series progresses, the scope expands beyond the football field into the high-stakes world of sports management, team ownership, and business ventures. Spencer, alongside his loyal but often impulsive business partner Joe Krutel, faces constant challenges from rival agents, demanding clients, and the pressures of maintaining a luxury lifestyle. The show balances sharp humor with dramatic explorations of the physical toll of the sport, financial instability, and the difficulty of transitioning away from the spotlight.
