Seishuu Handa is an up-and-coming, arrogant, and hot-headed calligrapher who, after punching a veteran exhibition judge for criticizing his work as 'unoriginal,' is sent by his father to live on the remote Goto Islands to reflect on his behavior. Accustomed to the structured, high-pressure life of Tokyo, Handa struggles to adapt to the laid-back, eccentric, and often intrusive lifestyle of the islanders. As he navigates his new surroundings, Handa finds his life constantly disrupted by Naru Kotoishi, an energetic and mischievous young girl who treats his home as her personal playground. Through his interactions with Naru and the colorful local community, Handa begins to shed his rigid perfectionism, finding new inspiration for his art and discovering a more authentic, human approach to his craft and his life.
