Belascoarán, PI

Set in the vibrant and chaotic Mexico City of the 1970s, 'Belascoarán, PI' follows Héctor Belascoarán Shayne, a corporate man who decides to abandon his stifling office job and his monotonous marriage to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a private detective. Armed with sharp instincts, a relentless moral compass, and a deep love for his city, Héctor navigates the dangerous underbelly of the capital to take on bizarre, gritty, and often corrupt cases that the police refuse to touch. As he delves deeper into the city's dark secrets, Héctor crosses paths with various shadowy figures, femme fatales, and political conspirators. Adapted from the famous detective novels by Paco Ignacio Taibo II, the series blends neo-noir mystery with dark humor, political commentary, and a distinct Latin American flavor, capturing an era of social transition and turmoil in Mexico.
