Beware the Batman is a computer-animated television series focusing on a brooding, tactical iteration of the Dark Knight as he protects Gotham City alongside a lethal former-MI6 operative turned butler, Alfred Pennyworth, and the sword-wielding prodigy Tatsu Toro (Katana). Instead of focusing primarily on iconic mainstays like the Joker or the Penguin, the series explores a fresh rogue's gallery featuring lesser-known villains such as Professor Pyg, Anarky, Humpty Dumpty, and Tobias Whale. Throughout the series, Bruce Wayne grapples with the psychological tolls of his crusade while facing threats that test not only his physical limits but also his burgeoning alliance with Katana and Lieutenant James Gordon, who must navigate a corrupt city police department and the covert maneuvers of the League of Assassins.
