Big Forest

Big Forest follows the lives of two men who have hit rock bottom and find themselves trying to survive in the vibrant, multicultural neighborhood of Daerim-dong in Seoul. Shin Dong-yup, a once-famous entertainer whose career plummeted due to financial and personal scandals, struggles to pay off massive debts while hiding from loan sharks. Jung Sang-hoon, a fiercely loyal and hardworking local loan shark with a heart of gold, tries to balance his dangerous job with the responsibilities of being a single father. Thrown together by circumstance, the two form an unlikely and turbulent alliance. As they navigate the chaotic underworld of Daerim-dong—populated by eccentric Chinese-Korean immigrants, ruthless creditors, and everyday people trying to make ends meet—they encounter a series of absurd, touching, and darkly comedic situations. The series blends satire, black comedy, and heartwarming human drama to highlight the resilience of outcasts fighting for a second chance at life.
