Big Shot follows Marvyn Korn, a temperamental college basketball coach who is fired from his job after throwing a chair at a referee. With his career in shambles, he is forced to take a job at Westbrook School for Girls, an elite private high school. Initially viewing the position as a temporary stepping stone to get back into the NCAA, Korn finds himself challenged by the unique dynamics of the team and the personal struggles of his players. As the series progresses, Korn must learn to temper his aggressive coaching style and connect with his players on a deeper level. The show explores themes of mentorship, personal growth, and the complexities of teenage life, as the coach and the team navigate the pressures of high school sports and the pursuit of success both on and off the court.
