Isao Komori is a withdrawn, hikikomori college student who spends his days observing a beautiful, mysterious high school girl named Mari Yoshizaki from afar. His life takes a surreal turn when he wakes up one morning to find himself inhabiting Mari's body. Confused and terrified, he must navigate the complexities of her life, family, and social circle while trying to understand the circumstances behind this inexplicable body swap. As Isao lives as Mari, he begins to uncover the dark, hidden pressures of her seemingly perfect life. Meanwhile, Mari's friend Yori begins to suspect that the person inhabiting her friend's body is not the real Mari. The series explores themes of identity, loneliness, and the disconnect between how we perceive others and the reality of their internal struggles.
