Bolívar

Bolívar is a biographical drama series that chronicles the life of Simón Bolívar, the Venezuelan military and political leader who played a central role in the South American independence movement against the Spanish Empire. The series explores his complex personal life, his passionate romances, and the immense psychological and physical toll of his quest to liberate territories that would become modern-day Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. Spanning from his childhood in Caracas to his final days in Santa Marta, the narrative delves into the political intrigue, battlefield strategies, and the internal conflicts of a man driven by the dream of a unified Latin America. It portrays Bolívar not just as a legendary 'Libertador,' but as a flawed, ambitious, and deeply human figure navigating the treacherous landscape of 19th-century colonial politics.
