Bombi Bitt och jag

Based on the celebrated novels by Nils Ferlin, "Bombi Bitt och jag" (Bombi Bitt and I) is a classic Swedish television series set in the 19th-century province of Skåne. The story follows the adventures of young Eli and his charismatic, rebellious older friend, Bombi Bitt. Together, they navigate the trials of childhood, local eccentricities, poverty, and the rigid social expectations of rural Sweden, forming an unbreakable bond of friendship. The narrative beautifully captures the poetic, bittersweet nostalgia of youth, contrasting the innocence of children with the harsh realities of the adult world. Through a series of episodic misadventures, encounters with colorful locals, and brushes with minor trouble, Bombi Bitt emerges as a legendary folk hero in the eyes of young Eli, leaving an indelible mark on his life and imagination.
