Boston Blackie is a classic American crime drama series based on the character created by Jack Boyle. The series follows the adventures of Horatio 'Boston' Blackie, a former jewel thief and safecracker turned amateur detective. Having served time in prison, Blackie seeks to live a reformed life, but his unique set of skills and his past connections often draw him into complex criminal investigations that baffle the local police force. Throughout the series, Blackie frequently finds himself at odds with Inspector Faraday, a persistent but often frustrated police detective who views Blackie's interference as a nuisance. Aided by his loyal sidekick 'Runt' and his romantic interest Mary Wesley, Blackie uses his underworld knowledge and sharp wit to solve murders, recover stolen goods, and clear his own name whenever he is framed for crimes he did not commit.
