Set in the 1930s during the Japanese colonial rule over Korea, 'Bridal Mask' follows Lee Kang-to, an ambitious and ruthless Korean officer working for the Japanese colonial police. Driven by the need to support his family after his father's death and his older brother's apparent mental breakdown, Kang-to ruthlessly hunts down 'Bridal Mask,' a mysterious vigilante who hides his face behind a traditional Korean bridal mask and executes pro-Japanese collaborators. Unbeknownst to Kang-to, the man behind the mask is actually his beloved older brother, Kang-san, who has been faking his mental disability. When tragedy strikes and Kang-to is forced to take up the mantle of the Bridal Mask himself, his worldview shatters. He transforms from an enforcer of the brutal regime into a symbol of hope and resistance for the oppressed Korean people, engaging in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the Japanese police while torn between duty, vengeance, and a forbidden romance.
