Set against the backdrop of the historic and tranquil province of Chachoengsao, Thailand, the series follows the life of Ploy, a young archivist who returns to her ancestral home to settle her late grandfather's estate. As she delves into the dusty records of the local riverside community, she uncovers a decades-old mystery involving a missing merchant family and a hidden treasure buried beneath the foundations of an ancient temple. The discovery forces her to confront the town's powerful elite, who have long suppressed the truth to protect their own legacies. As Ploy digs deeper, she forms an unlikely alliance with Kavin, a cynical local journalist who is also investigating a series of strange occurrences in the area. Together, they navigate a web of corruption, folklore, and family betrayal. The series masterfully blends elements of historical drama with modern-day suspense, exploring themes of memory, justice, and the enduring connection between the people and the land they call home.
