Champions League of Darts

The Champions League of Darts was a prestigious professional darts tournament organized by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Unlike standard knockout tournaments, the event featured a unique round-robin format where the top eight players in the world rankings were split into two groups. This structure ensured that fans saw more of the sport's biggest stars, as each player competed against every other member of their group before the top two advanced to the knockout semi-finals. The tournament served as a high-stakes showcase of precision and mental fortitude, often held at iconic venues like the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff or the Brighton Centre. It brought together legendary figures of the sport, including Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor, and Gary Anderson, creating intense rivalries and memorable matches that tested the consistency of the world's best throwers under the pressure of a televised broadcast.
