Chasing Cherry Blossoms

Chasing Cherry Blossoms follows the journey of Seo-yoon, a disillusioned documentary filmmaker who returns to her rural hometown in Jinhae after a decade of professional burnout in Seoul. Tasked with capturing the fleeting beauty of the cherry blossom season for a prestigious international project, she finds herself forced to collaborate with Min-jun, a stoic local botanist who holds a grudge against her family’s past land development projects. As the petals begin to fall, the two must navigate the tension between preserving the town's history and embracing the inevitability of change. As the series progresses, the narrative delves into the complex layers of grief, reconciliation, and the pursuit of artistic integrity. Seo-yoon discovers hidden journals from her late grandmother that reveal a long-buried secret about the town’s iconic cherry blossom grove, threatening to alter the community's future forever. Amidst the breathtaking landscapes, the characters must confront their own personal failures and find the courage to bloom again in the places they once tried to escape.
