Darling Ji Gong follows the legendary, unorthodox Chan Buddhist monk Daoji—better known as Ji Gong—as he wanders through ancient China using his supernatural powers, witty humor, and unorthodox methods to help the suffering, punish the wicked, and teach moral lessons. Blending folklore, comedy, and supernatural elements, the series portrays Ji Gong in his patched robes and broken fan, often misunderstood by society due to his love for wine and meat, yet deeply revered for his golden heart. Throughout his journey, he combats various demons, resolves human grievances, and guides lost souls toward enlightenment.
