As societal norms shift and dark institutional secrets begin to surface, Tom finds himself caught in a web of moral dilemmas, ecclesiastical politics, and personal demons. At the center of the conflict is Tom's uncle, the charismatic and influential Cardinal Allen, who represents the rigid, aging authority of the Church.
