Cinema & TelevisionDi Gi Charat follows the extraterrestrial cat-girl princess, Dejiko, who hails from the planet Di Gi Charat. Along with her sidekick, Puchiko, and their caretaker, Gema, she travels to Earth—specifically Akihabara, Tokyo—with dreams of becoming a famous idol. However, due to financial struggles, they end up living and working at a struggling duty-free shop called Gamers. As Dejiko tries to make a name for herself, she frequently clashes with her bitter rival, Rabi-en-Rose (Aki Kana), a local aspiring idol who sees Dejiko as a threat to her own fame. The series is characterized by its fast-paced, comedic, and often absurd situations, where Dejiko uses her signature catchphrases and her special beam attack from her eyes, while learning what it truly takes to survive on Earth and win the hearts of its people.
