Set in the Joseon Dynasty, 'Diary of a Night Watchman' follows a group of specialized fighters known as night watchmen who patrol the streets between the hours of 9 PM and 5 AM to catch and subdue ghosts and evil spirits. Prince Lee Rin, a lonely prince who can see ghosts due to a childhood trauma, tries to use his ability to ignore them and live as a playboy. However, his life changes drastically when he crosses paths with Do-ha, a shamaness from Mount Baekdu, and Moo-seok, an elite royal guard. Together with their allies, they form a formidable team to protect the royal court and the innocent citizens from a massive political conspiracy involving dark shamanic forces and malevolent spirits manipulated by power-hungry factions seeking to overthrow the king and plunge the realm into eternal darkness.
