Set in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, Disenchantment follows the misadventures of the hard-drinking, rebellious Princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal 'demon' Luci. As Bean struggles with her royal responsibilities and her father King Zøg's expectations, the trio uncovers a vast conspiracy involving magic, ancient prophecies, and the dark secrets of their kingdom. Throughout the series, the group travels across various lands, encountering mermaids, ogres, harpies, and walruses, all while Bean attempts to find her own path and escape the suffocating nature of her royal life. The show blends fantasy tropes with dark humor and serialized storytelling, evolving from episodic adventures into a complex narrative about destiny, family trauma, and the battle between good and evil.
