Doc

Inspired by a true story, 'Doc' follows the brilliant and hard-nosed chief of internal medicine, Dr. Andrea Fanti, whose life is upended after a traumatic brain injury erases the last eight years of his memories. Deprived of his recent past, Andrea wakes up to a world where his children are older, his marriage has dissolved, and he is no longer the empathetic physician he once was, but rather a feared and detached colleague. Stripped of his high-ranking position and forced to start over as a medical resident under his former subordinates, he must navigate the complex hospital environment, piece together his fragmented identity, and rediscover his passion for healing patients while confronting the truth of who he used to be. As the series progresses, the emotional core shifts to the intense professional and personal dynamics within the hospital ward. Andrea strives to regain the trust of his peers, particularly his former wife and current superior, while mentoring a new generation of young doctors. Through extraordinary medical cases that mirror his own quest for truth, 'Doc' explores themes of human resilience, memory, forgiveness, and the profound vulnerability of those who dedicate their lives to saving others.
