Dr. Champ

Dr. Champ follows the story of Kim Yeon-woo, a talented but principled orthopedic surgeon who is fired from her hospital after standing up to her professor. She eventually finds a new position at the Taereung National Training Center, a facility dedicated to training South Korea's elite national athletes. There, she must navigate the complex and often grueling world of sports medicine, where the pressure to perform often clashes with the necessity of long-term health. As she settles into her new role, Yeon-woo finds herself caught in a complicated professional and personal dynamic with Lee Do-wook, the cynical and mysterious director of the medical center, and Park Ji-heon, a talented but troubled judo athlete. The series explores themes of professional integrity, the physical and mental toll of competitive sports, and the healing power of human connection as the characters work together to overcome past traumas and achieve their dreams.
