Drexell's Class is an American sitcom that aired on the Fox network during the 1991-1992 television season. The series centers on Otis Drexell, a cynical, sarcastic, and unconventional man who is forced to take a job as a fifth-grade teacher at Cedar Knoll Elementary School after his business fails and he faces financial ruin. Drexell has no formal training in education and possesses a disdain for the school's administration, leading to a clash of philosophies between his street-smart, cynical approach and the rigid, bureaucratic environment of the school. The show focuses on the comedic interactions between Drexell and his students, as well as his ongoing conflicts with the school's principal, Roscoe Davis, and his fellow teachers. Throughout the series, Drexell often finds himself in situations where he must navigate the challenges of the classroom while maintaining his own irreverent personality. Despite his initial reluctance to be an educator, the series explores his gradual, albeit reluctant, bond with his students as he imparts his own unique brand of life lessons.
