When bizarre, spherical alien creatures suddenly invade the skies worldwide, causing massive destruction and fatalities, the South Korean government declares a national crisis. In a desperate bid to bolster the military strength, high school seniors nationwide—who are supposed to be focused on their upcoming CSAT college entrance exams—are designated as reserve forces. Platoon 2 of Sungjin High School's 3rd year students are thrust into brutal paramilitary training led by the stern Platoon Leader Lee Choon-ho and Sergeant Kim Won-bin. Thrust from ordinary teenagers into frontline soldiers, characters like Kim Chi-yeol, Lee Na-ra, and Wang Tae-man must learn to survive terrifying combat encounters against relentless extraterrestrial threats while navigating their own adolescent fears, friendships, and the grim reality of a war they never asked to fight.
