Ekstradycja

Set in Poland during the tumultuous transition period of the 1990s, 'Ekstradycja' follows Olgierd Halski, a brilliant, uncompromising, yet deeply troubled police commissioner. Battling alcoholism, personal demons, and strained family relationships—particularly involving his beloved daughter Basia—Halski serves on the frontline against the explosive rise of organized crime following the collapse of the communist regime. As the Polish mafia consolidates power alongside international criminal syndicates and Russian crime rings, Halski is thrust into high-stakes investigations revolving around narcotics smuggling, human trafficking, and extensive political corruption. His unorthodox methods and refusal to bend to corrupt superiors make him a dangerous adversary to both ruthless kingpins and high-ranking officials who profit from systemic instability. Regarded as a landmark in Polish television history, the series broke new ground with its gritty realism, cinematic pacing, and dark psychological complexity. Across its three seasons, 'Ekstradycja' chronicles Halski's solitary crusade to maintain justice in a world where the boundaries between law enforcement, politics, and the criminal underworld are increasingly blurred.
