Everwood

Everwood follows the life of Dr. Andrew Brown, a world-renowned neurosurgeon from Manhattan who, after the sudden death of his wife, moves his two children, Ephram and Delia, to the small, idyllic mountain town of Everwood, Colorado. Seeking a fresh start and a chance to reconnect with his family, Andy opens a free medical clinic, which immediately puts him at odds with the town's established physician, Dr. Harold Abbott, who views the newcomer as a threat to his practice and the town's traditional way of life. As the series progresses, the narrative explores the complex emotional growth of the Brown family as they navigate grief, teenage romance, and the challenges of small-town integration. The show is celebrated for its poignant writing, focusing on the evolving relationships between Andy and his children, the rivalry and eventual friendship between the two doctors, and the interconnected lives of the townspeople, all set against the backdrop of a community that is as judgmental as it is supportive.
