Finch

Set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a solar flare that destroyed the ozone layer and turned the Earth's surface into a scorching wasteland, the story follows Finch Weinberg, a sickly robotics engineer living underground. Knowing his life is nearing its end, Finch spends his final days building an advanced humanoid robot named Jeff, designed to protect his beloved dog, Goodyear, after he is gone. Together with his canine companion and the newly activated robot, the trio embarks on a poignant and perilous cross-country road trip from St. Louis to San Francisco, facing treacherous weather, radioactive dust storms, and human isolation along the way. As they travel westward, the film explores profound themes of mortality, companionship, and the essence of humanity.
