Fist Fight

Overview

Set in the pressure-cooker environment of a failing high school on the final day before summer break, 'Fist Fight' revolves around two opposing educators whose simmering professional rivalry boils over into an old-school parking lot brawl. Andy Campbell, a mild-mannered English teacher desperately trying to keep his job and provide for his expecting wife, is pushed to his absolute breaking point by Ron Strickland, an intimidating history teacher who takes no guff and fears no administrative reprimand. When Campbell inadvertently gets Strickland fired, the ruthless history teacher challenges him to a physical showdown after school. As word of the impending fight spreads through the chaotic halls of Roosevelt High, the students, faculty, and administration react with a mixture of horror, morbid curiosity, and enthusiastic wagering. The conflict forces Campbell to reevaluate his timid approach to life and stand up for himself against a backdrop of escalating senior prank mayhem, security guard interference, and institutional apathy, culminating in an unforgettable, bruising clash of wills.
