Cinema & Television
Set within the high-stakes, hyper-competitive world of international classical music, 'Four Hands, Two Sonatas' follows the complex relationship between two prodigal pianists from contrasting backgrounds. Kang Ji-won, an elite perfectionist burdened by family legacy, and Lee Woo-jin, a rebellious virtuoso with a hidden past, are forced to become a duo for an upcoming global competition. As they struggle to synchronize their radically different techniques and temperaments, the boundary between professional rivalry and profound emotional intimacy begins to blur. The narrative delves deep into the psychological toll of artistic excellence, the trauma of expectations, and the healing power of shared expression. Alongside their grueling rehearsals, they must navigate corporate corruption within the classical arts foundation, fierce sabotage from rival musicians, and their own unresolved personal demons. Through every demanding movement of Schubert and Brahms, Ji-won and Woo-jin discover that mastering the music requires confronting the truths they have spent a lifetime avoiding.
