Frasier follows the life of Dr. Frasier Crane, a pompous but well-meaning psychiatrist who moves back to his hometown of Seattle after his divorce in Boston. He begins a new chapter as a radio advice show host on KACL, where he navigates the complexities of his professional life while living with his retired police officer father, Martin, who was wounded in the line of duty, and his father's live-in physical therapist, Daphne Moon. The series centers on the comedic friction between the high-brow, elitist Frasier and his equally pretentious brother, Niles, as they clash with the blue-collar sensibilities of their father. Much of the show's humor derives from the brothers' desperate attempts to climb the social ladder of Seattle's elite, their complicated romantic lives, and the constant misunderstandings that arise from their intellectual vanity and stubborn personalities.
