Fruits Basket 1st Season

After a family tragedy turns her life upside down, optimistic high schooler Tohru Honda takes matters into her own hands and lives in a tent. Unfortunately, she pitches her new home on private land belonging to the mysterious Soma family: Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure. When a landslide destroys her tent, the Somas take Tohru in, and she quickly discovers their bizarre family secret: when hugged by the opposite sex, they transform into the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Tohru’s gentle nature and empathetic heart help her navigate the deeply entrenched trauma, isolation, and curses of the Soma family members. As she grows closer to Yuki and Kyo, she finds herself caught in the middle of their lifelong rivalry while slowly chipping away at the oppressive authority of the head of the family, Akito Soma. Through kindness and resilience, Tohru begins to heal not only the wounds of the zodiac members, but her own grief as well.
