G.P. is an Australian television drama series that aired on the ABC from 1989 to 1996. The series is set within the fictional General Practice clinic in the inner-city suburb of Oakhill, later moving to a rural setting. It follows the daily professional and personal lives of the doctors, nurses, and administrative staff as they deal with complex medical cases alongside challenging social, ethical, and personal issues. Over its 319 episodes, the show tackled groundbreaking and often controversial topics for Australian television, including mental health, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, euthanasia, and medical ethics.
