Grace Under Fire

Grace Under Fire is a sitcom that follows the life of Grace Kelly, a recovering alcoholic and single mother of three children—Quentin, Libby, and Patrick—who is attempting to rebuild her life in the fictional town of Victory, Missouri. After divorcing her abusive husband, Jimmy, Grace navigates the challenges of working at an oil refinery, managing her household, and dealing with the complexities of dating and social life as a working-class woman in the 1990s. The series is noted for its gritty, realistic approach to domestic life, often tackling serious issues such as domestic violence, addiction, and poverty with a blend of humor and drama. As Grace struggles to maintain her sobriety and provide for her children, she relies on her sharp wit and a small circle of friends and neighbors, including her eccentric friend Nadine and her neighbor Wade, to survive the daily trials of her new, independent life.
