Cinema & TelevisionHappy! follows Nick Sax, an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hitman who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex, and betrayal. After a hit goes wrong, Nick finds himself in the middle of a chaotic kidnapping plot involving a deranged Santa Claus impersonator and a young girl named Hailey. His life is permanently altered when he begins to see Happy, a relentlessly positive, blue-winged, animated unicorn that only he can perceive. As Nick reluctantly teams up with his new imaginary companion, he is forced to confront his own demons and the criminal underworld of New York City to save Hailey. The series blends gritty neo-noir aesthetics with surreal, hyper-violent dark comedy, exploring themes of redemption, childhood innocence, and the psychological toll of trauma through the unlikely bond between a cynical killer and a manifestation of pure joy.
