Heels

Set in a close-knit Georgia community, 'Heels' follows a family-owned wrestling promotion where two brothers and rivals war over their late father's legacy. In the ring, somebody must play the villain (the "heel") and somebody must play the hero (the "face"). But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to—or hard to leave behind. The series explores the ambition, family trauma, and economic struggles of indie professional wrestling. Jack Spade is the promotion's ambitious promotion runner and head writer who plays the heel, while his younger brother, Ace Spade, is the high-flying, beloved face of the company struggling to cope with his own psychological breaking points and personal demons both inside and outside the squared circle.
