"Hiru" is a thrilling Japanese suspense drama that delves into the dark underworld of urban parasites known as "Hiru"—people who illegally live in the empty homes of others while they are away, essentially stealing their identities and livelihoods. The story is split across two seasons, following different protagonists who become entangled in this clandestine world. The narrative kicks off when a young man named Yuda is suddenly framed for a crime he didn't commit and forced onto the streets, where he discovers the terrifying subculture of the Hiru. As Yuda fights to survive and clear his name, he crosses paths with Kara, a skilled female Hiru who is on a relentless quest for revenge against a dangerous man from her past. The series explores themes of isolation, societal marginalization, and identity theft, painting a gripping picture of modern urban survival where the line between the living and the forgotten blurs completely.
