Series Overview

Set in early 20th-century London, the series follows the unlikely partnership between legendary escape artist Harry Houdini and renowned author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Despite their differing worldviews—Houdini, the skeptical rationalist, and Doyle, a passionate believer in the paranormal—the two are recruited by Scotland Yard to assist in solving baffling, seemingly supernatural crimes that defy conventional explanation. As they investigate cases involving ghosts, monsters, and inexplicable phenomena, the duo is joined by Adelaide Stratton, the first female constable at Scotland Yard. The series explores the friction between science and faith, as the protagonists navigate their own personal demons while attempting to uncover the truth behind the mysteries that threaten the stability of Edwardian society.
