House M.D.

House M.D. follows the life of Dr. Gregory House, a brilliant but misanthropic and pain-pill-addicted medical genius who leads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. House is known for his unconventional thinking, cynical worldview, and his refusal to interact with patients, believing that 'everybody lies' and that the truth is the only thing that matters in solving medical mysteries. The series centers on the complex power dynamics between House and his team, as well as his strained but essential relationship with his best friend, oncologist Dr. James Wilson, and his boss, hospital administrator Dr. Lisa Cuddy. Each episode typically features a medical mystery that has baffled other doctors, forcing House and his team to employ extreme diagnostic methods, often pushing ethical boundaries to save lives while dealing with their own personal demons and professional conflicts.
