Takuma Sakamoto is a shut-in gamer who is overwhelmingly powerful in the MMORPG 'Cross Reverie,' where he is known as the Demon Lord Diablo. One day, he is summoned to another world that resembles his favorite game, appearing in the body of his avatar. He is immediately confronted by two girls, Rem and Shera, who both claim to be his summoner and attempt to cast a spell to enslave him. However, due to his character's unique ability, the spell reflects back, turning the girls into his slaves instead. Forced to navigate this new reality, Takuma must maintain his persona as the fearsome Demon Lord to survive, all while hiding his true, socially anxious personality. As he travels with his companions, he faces various political threats, powerful monsters, and the challenges of living in a world where his game knowledge is his only advantage. The series blends high-stakes fantasy adventure with comedy as Diablo struggles to interact with others without breaking character.
