Human Target follows Christopher Chance, a unique private contractor who protects his clients by becoming a 'human target.' Rather than acting as a traditional bodyguard, Chance integrates himself into the lives of those threatened, assuming their identities or placing himself in the line of fire to draw out assassins and neutralize threats before they can reach his clients. He is aided by his pragmatic business partner Winston and the lethal, tech-savvy mercenary Guerrero. As the series progresses, the team navigates high-stakes international missions, often dealing with Chance's mysterious and violent past. While the show focuses on episodic missions of protection, it slowly peels back the layers of Chance's history, revealing his former life as an operative for a shadowy organization and his struggle to find redemption through his current line of work.
