Set in a post-apocalyptic world where the human race is slowly dying out and being replaced by the 'Fairies'—small, whimsical creatures with advanced technology and an insatiable love for sweets—the story follows a young woman known simply as 'Watashi' (Me). As a newly appointed official UN arbitrator between humanity and the new dominant species, her daily life involves navigating the surreal, satirical, and often bizarre consequences of fairy curiosity and unpredictable inventions. Despite the pastel-colored aesthetic and cheerful tone, the series offers a sharp, darkly comedic critique of modern society, consumerism, media, and human folly. Watashi approaches her absurd duties with a deadpan, cynical internal monologue, constantly trying to maintain order while getting dragged into ridiculous misadventures alongside her grandfather and the mysterious Assistant.
